Happy 8 Weeks Melina Puppies!
Here are the Melina puppies! They have really grown so much and are now noticeably bigger than the Isis puppies, except for two, Yellow Girl and Purple Girl, who are about the same size as the Isis puppies. Our two biggest puppies are L Green Boy and Pink Girl. All the puppies are doing great after their surgeries. ( Melina Puppies 8 weeks ... ) | | Thursday, July 9th, 2009 | | 4:07 pm |
Happy 8 Weeks Isis Puppies!
Wow 8 weeks old already! They are so adorable and the vet said they were some of the cutest I have had and were very high up there on the Cute-o-Meter! They are doing great after their surgery yesterday. It is hard to keep them down and quiet. They act like nothing has happened! Puppy Yard Adventure and some Extras!
Tuesday I took the puppies out for their last adventure for a little while as they were scheduled for their spay and neuters. Isis puppies went today and did great! The hardest part Is keeping them quiet as they come home like nothing has happened. Tonight they were running around, playing, and wrestling around like they always do! For the next week we try and keep things quiet and stress free for their recovery even though they don’t act like it, they still have their tiny little stitches in. Back to Tuesday, I took them out to our front puppy yard. Our new puppy yard is still under construction. I like to introduce the idea of a few stairs. They all stood at the top and were not sure about venturing down. I sat on the steps and slowly showed them how to go down, a few followed suit on their own, and soon all were down exploring their new area! Happy 7 Weeks Isis Puppies!
Happy Belated 4th of July! I wanted to get these posted right away but didn’t quite make it and then for some reason I kept downloading the full size version and not the re-sized pictures *arg* so I had to redo them all. They still are the super cute little Patriotic Doodle Puppies! ( Isis Puppies 7 Weeks ) | | 2:58 pm |
Puppy Play and Adventures!
I apologize as I seem to just be perpetually behind when it comes to my journal, it takes awhile to get each part done. It has been quite busy with the older puppies and their training and field trips and the little puppies as I spend time trying to introduce many new things and ideas before 8 weeks as that is the best time for this and is during the puppy imprinting time. Puppy Water Play!
This weekend and really heading into this week has been some really great summer weather! Since it was so nice I set up one of the wading pools with some water for the puppies to play in. I let it warm up in the sun and then tossed in some toys! ( Puppy Water Play ... ) | | Sunday, June 28th, 2009 | | 10:20 pm |
A Day at the Beach
Last week was an incredibly low tide week. Tuesday was a -4.1 and we heard on the news about Ferry runs being canceled because the tide was so low. Tuesday was the last day of school and despite it being the predicted nicer day of the week and the lowest of the low days, we couldn't quite make it out there. Wednesday despite the ominous clouds and threat of rain we headed out to our property anyway so we could walk the beach and explore the reefs that open up when the tide is this low, a -3.9. We took the 3 older puppies, Harvey, Misty, and Caramella, then Andy, Mindy, and Walker. My daughter brought her friend Kaitlynn along. The dogs had a great time especially the puppies who chased each other all along the beach and into the water. No hesitation in going in the water! We saw lots of interesting sea life! Hundreds of Sea Stars, also known as Starfish, Sea Anemones, a Moon Snail, Crabs, and a very large Purple Jelly Fish! I have lots of pictures I took, it took me awhile to get the photos all organized and I am going to try something different and put them in photo album on another site. I'll see if this link works, let me know if it doesn't. Click on the Album that says "Day at the Beach" then in the top part, right hand corner of that page is a spot to click on "Slide Show". There are lots of pictures of not just the Doodles and puppies, but of the things we saw on the beach. Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/9393538@N07/sets/The other set of pictures are ones I have taken of my gardens. | | 4:17 pm |

Roanna and Kira Puppy Adventures!
Please Note: These puppies are our training camp puppies which means they have families who have enrolled them in our puppy camps and they stay with us for training. Two are our puppies we have kept back for program. I post their entries so families can see their pictures and hear about their adventures. I’ve had several requests for these wonderful puppies, they are not available. Our Isis and Melina puppies still have openings! :) The Roanna and Kira puppies that are left are having a great time on all the field trips we have been going on. Sunday we went to Allyn Park, which I love taking the dogs too. It has this really big dock, a beach, a park, and an enclosed play area! It has this huge covered gazebo and is very popular for weddings. It is a wonderful park! ( Puppy Adventures and Pictures ... ) | | 7:39 am |
All Puppies Playing!
These pictures were taken at 4 ½ weeks old. I’ve been putting the puppies together to play and they just love playing in a big group! Mommy Doodles go outside and watch from the deck! I still separate them at night and during the day when the Mommy Doodles are in taking care of them. ( Puppies Playing ) | | Monday, June 15th, 2009 | | 7:39 am |

Puppy Mush!
One of the things I introduced this week was their Puppy Mush! At first I was going to do each litter separately but after putting the first litter around the bowl, seeing how small they looked against the big puppy dish, and with the other litter waking up and fussing, I decided I would put them together. I did put the Mommy Doodles out on the deck just in case they didn’t think it was a good idea! They got to watch through the windows, they didn’t seem to mind and were more interested when I did let them back in that they got to help clean up bowls and puppies. By then I had them back in their own puppy areas! The puppies dove in and lapped it up, though I did end up making way to much! It is hard to judge how much such little tummies will eat! The Mommy Doodles are always happy to lap up any excess whether it be in the bowls or on little puppy faces! ( Here are the Puppy Mush Pictures! ) | | Friday, June 5th, 2009 | | 11:20 pm |

Happy 3 Weeks Isis Puppies!
I’ve been taking pictures all week but it has taken me awhile to get caught up on getting them processed and ready for posting to my journal. They change so much in the first 3 weeks! Their eyes open, their ears are now open, they respond to you when you visit and play with them! They woof and their tails wag at you! They are playing and exploring! Roanna and Kira Puppies!
The Roanna and Kira puppies have grown so much! They are doing wonderfully in their training! The Roanna puppies have been on several field trips. They ran errands with me to the Post Office, Bank, and Library. Each stop I take them out and practice their leash work and their meet and greet work. They went to the Pet Store and had a great time there! We also visited the school where they practiced their whistle training. The Kira puppies will get to start their field trips soon!
